How a workshop on the wrong side of the world ended up shipping same-day from Kentucky.

Built because the bench deserved better.

For decades, blast crews used whatever was on hand — sandbags, concrete plugs, wooden discs, early chemical bags — to hold a deck. Most of it didn't work well enough to bet a shot on. MTi GROUP started in a workshop outside Perth in 1990 because the bench deserved better. The first BLASTBAG™ was engineered to fix one specific problem: hold pressure every shot, no exceptions.

One bag became a line. One line became a system.

Different sites have different problems. Wet holes need a different bag than dry. Underground stoping doesn't tolerate DG paperwork. Hot benches and cold benches need different chemistry. So we built bags for each. Then sites kept asking what else we could solve — blasthole liners, mechanical stemming, measurement tools, safety gear, marking, in-hole accessories. The catalog runs 400+ SKUs across 15 categories today. All purpose-built for blasting. None of it generic resold inventory.

We opened the Stanton, Kentucky warehouse in 2016 to put real inventory on the shelf in your time zone. Same-day shipping for most orders. Net 30 for verified accounts. Will-call pickup by appointment. Field reps walking benches from the Powder River Basin to the Appalachians. The product is the same. The wait isn't.
