Inflation Equipment is the kit that turns a flat BLASTBAG™ AERO or BLASTBALL™ into a sealed air deck at the bottom of the hole. The patented AB-C coupling snaps onto the bag, the Teflon-lined dropline carries air down the hole, and the handheld or reel-mounted inflator pushes mine air through the system at the pressure each bag needs.

Without the right kit, the bag doesn't inflate — or worse, it deflates at the wrong depth and your air deck is gone. Inflation Equipment is the kit that delivers compressed air from your mine service line to a BLASTBAG™ AERO or BLASTBALL™ at the bottom of the hole. Underground hose reels, droplines, handheld inflators, and the patented AB-C snap-on coupling — every piece purpose-built for one job: getting an air-operated blast hole plug to inflate reliably, at depth, in seconds.

MTi GROUP's inflation kit comes in two forms. The plug-and-play Underground Hose Reel is a complete air service unit — hose, inflator/deflator, gauge, and weighted AB-C coupling, all in one cart. The component path lets you build the kit piece by piece: a Handheld Inflator for field work, a Dropline Hose for the depth you need, and the Inflation Coupling that snaps onto the bag. Inflation Assemblies bundle the three components together at common dropline lengths (25 ft, 60 ft, 100 ft, 50 m).

How the Kit Connects

Standard mine air goes in through a ¼" BSP fitting. The handheld inflator (or the inflator built into the UGHR) regulates pressure and includes a gauge that reads up to 35 PSI — comfortably above the inflation range of any MTi air-operated bag. The dropline carries that air down the hole with anodized crimps every 5 m / 10 ft so the operator knows exactly how deep the bag is. At the end of the line, the AB-C coupling snaps onto the bag's air valve. Once the bag is inflated, a sharp tug decouples the line and the bag stays inflated, plugging the hole.

Underground Inflation Hose Reel

Pick the UGHR when you want a complete air service unit with no assembly. Teflon-lined hose, pneumatic inflator/deflator, gauge to 35 PSI, anodized depth crimps, weighted AB-C coupling on the end. 50 m (164 ft) or 100 ft (30 m) hose options. Plug into mine air via ¼" BSP and you're ready. Working pressure 10 – 300 PSI — covers every BLASTBAG AERO and BLASTBALL spec. Best-in-class for production underground sites running daily air decks.

Inflation Assemblies

Pick the Inflation Assembly when you want the same kit as the UGHR but without the reel — three components pre-packaged at a common dropline length. Includes Dropline + Handheld Inflator + Weighted AB-C Coupling. Four lengths: 25 ft, 60 ft, 100 ft, and 50 m. Cheaper than the UGHR, simpler than building from parts, and field-portable.

Handheld Inflator

Pick the Handheld Inflator when you're working benches without service air at the hole, or you need to reposition a bag before final inflation. Stainless steel cage, Nitto fittings, gauge to 36 PSI, rated to 200 PSI max. Inflates and deflates. Pair with any Dropline Hose and AB-C Coupling to build a portable kit.

Dropline Inflation Hose

Pick a Dropline Hose when you need a specific length not covered by the standard kits, or you're replacing the hose on an existing setup. Teflon-lined thermoplastic, designed for repeated tensile loading from lowering inflated bags. Crimps every 5 m / 10 ft tell the operator exactly how deep the bag is. Sizes: 25 ft (5 m), 60 ft (18 m), 50 m (164 ft), 100 ft (30 m). All metals are stainless steel — explosives-compatible.

Inflation Coupling

Pick an Inflation Coupling when you need a replacement, a spare, or a full hose-end rebuild. The AB-C is MTi's patented snap-on connector — pushes onto the bag's air valve to inflate, pulls free under load to leave the inflated bag at depth. Two versions: AB-C Diamond Knurl (02-001, $114) is the coupling alone. The Complete Hose End Replacement (02-024, $409) is the whole end of the dropline — weight, ferrule, tail, nipple, and coupling — ready to swap onto a worn hose.

BLASTBAG™ AERO

BLASTBALL™

SERVICEABLE DOWN TO THE COUPLING

When the hose end wears out, swap it — don't replace the whole reel. The Complete Hose End Replacement (02-024) gives you a new weight, ferrule, tail, nipple, and AB-C coupling in one kit. The Inflation Coupling alone (02-001) replaces the connector only. Every part of the kit is available individually.
