When to pick each
Depth Gauge

Pick the Depth Gauge when you want a reliable depth check at the lowest cost-per-tool in the collection. Fiberglass line, tough connector that won't snag on rough collars, optional 8/12/16 oz teardrop or cylinder weights. Sizes 25 ft – 200 ft (15 m – 50 m). Best-seller for both UG and OP — the daily driver when the bench takes a beating and replacement cost matters.

MiTiMEASURE Polyline

Pick MITIMEASURE™ when the depth gauge has to survive the bench day after day. Blue stainless-steel core doesn't stretch under load, doesn't tangle in wet holes, and gives solid feedback the moment the weight hits bottom. Costs about 3× a basic depth gauge — the math works when crews stop replacing their line every few months. Sizes 20 m – 50 m (60 ft – 200 ft), marked every 0.5 m for fast reading. Built for QAQC measurements, deep holes, and pattern surveying.

Tape & Reel

Pick this combo when you're measuring every production hole on every shift and need something simple, reliable, and immune to dead batteries. High-visibility miner's tape drops through dust, cuttings, and water with a sinker weight (8 oz, 12 oz, or 16 oz / 227–454 g) pulling the line down a clean path. Cheapest cost-per-measurement in the collection. Fits standard production holes; pairs with any depth-gauge kit.

Lead Weights

Pick Lead Weights when you're running TuffTape, MITIMEASURE, or a Depth Gauge that didn't come with a weight pre-attached. Non-sparking lead in 8, 12, 16, or 24 oz (227–680 g), teardrop or cylinder style. The 8 oz handles most production holes; step up to 16 or 24 oz when water, dust, or cuttings start fighting your drop. If you order a depth gauge with a weight, we'll connect the two with a durable, non-snagging fitting.

Blast Hole Temperature Probe

Pick the Blast Hole Temperature Probe when you're working reactive ground, sulfide ore, or any site with a history of heated holes. K-type thermocouple, 30 m / 98 ft of downline marked every 0.5 m, FLUKE 51-2 thermometer in the kit, 450 g (16 oz) dipweight pre-attached. Comfortable to 100°C / 212°F; reads higher but with reduced shielding life. Important: this is the only product in the collection that isn't non-sparking, so don't use it where non-sparking gear is required.

Emulsion Weight

Pick the Emulsion Weight when you're loading bulk emulsion and need to confirm explosive height before charge goes down. The plastic collar slows at the top of the emulsion column, letting you read where the explosive ends and the water begins. Two variants: 3" with 8 oz (76 mm / 227 g) for smaller holes, 4" with 16 oz (102 mm / 454 g) for larger ones. No batteries, no electronics — just a density check at the hole.
