Collar Protection

Collarcone Hole Saver

Lightweight cone that protects drill holes.
· SKU 09-002

The CollarCone is a tough plastic hole cone (hole saver) used to protect the collar and keep loose ground out. It's designed for mines and quarries that want cleaner holes, steadier collars, and less re-drilling. The cone sits at the top of the hole, blocks drill cuttings, rocks, and water from falling back in, and keeps the opening clear while you work.

This hole cone is injection-moulded, not rotationally moulded. That makes it stronger, more consistent, and up to 20% lighter than other cones on the market . Each size stacks cleanly without sticking because of anti-lock tabs. Downline clips are built into the cone so your line stays put during loading.

Smaller sizes use a closed base for long-term hole retention. Larger cones (230 mm+) have an open bottom so you can load straight through the cone on the bench . All sizes are UV-stabilized, impact-resistant, and easy to see in MTi Green.

PROTECT THE HOLE. KEEP IT LOADABLE.
COLLARCONE™ hole saver
Why this product

Why Collarcone Hole Saver

Protects hole integrity

Cone sits at the collar to prevent cuttings, debris, and rain from filling the hole.

Why it matters: Your drilled holes stay clean and usable. No re-drilling or cleaning out before loading.

Lightweight design

Light enough to carry a stack across the bench without slowing down.

Why it matters: Crews actually use them because they're easy to deploy. No excuses to skip hole protection.

Downline retention clips

Built-in clips hold detonating cord, shock tube, and lead wires in place at the collar.

Why it matters: Downlines stay organized and out of the way. No tangling, no accidental pulls during loading.

Anti-lock stacking tabs

Tab design prevents cones from nesting together in the stack.

Why it matters: Grab one, not ten. Saves time separating cones on a cold morning with stiff gloves.

Variety of sizes

Available in multiple diameters to match common drill hole sizes.

Why it matters: Match the cone to your hole. A proper fit means better protection and a cleaner collar.

UV stabilized material

Polymer resists UV degradation. Won't crack or become brittle after weeks in the sun.

Why it matters: Cones survive long bench exposure between drilling and loading without replacement.

Benefits

Built for the bench.

Protect the hole

Sits at the collar after drilling. Keeps cuttings, rocks, water, and people's feet out before you load.

Saves re-drills

Holes you can't find — or that filled with debris — cost time and explosive. The COLLARCONE™ keeps the hole loadable.

Reusable

Tough enough to pick up at the end of the shift and use again on the next pattern.

Built for every condition

Built for every condition.

Drilled but not loaded

When drilling and loading happen on different shifts, the COLLARCONE™ keeps your hole investment safe.

Wet weather

Stops surface water from running into the hole between drill and load.

High-traffic benches

Pattern in a working zone? The COLLARCONE™ marks and protects each hole so a boot or a tire can't damage the collar.

Foam cubes sit inside the hole. The COLLARCONE™ sits over the collar — it's a visible, reusable marker plus protector. Both have a place; we sell both.
No, that's the point — it protects from debris and water. You lift it to inspect or load.

When to pick each
Collarcone Hole Saver

Pick the Collarcone when the hole has to sit between drilling and loading without filling with cuttings, water, or rocks. Injection-moulded plastic cone — 20% lighter than rotationally-moulded competitors, UV-stabilized, MTi Green for high visibility. Built-in downline clips. Five sizes: 3"–4½" closed, 4"–5½" closed, 6½"–8" closed, 9"–9¾" open, and 9¾"–12¼" open. The dedicated product for pre-loading hole protection — no other product on this page does this job.

BLASTBAG™ SOLO

Pick BLASTBAG™ SOLO when you're on surface benches and want a collar air deck that holds stemming, cuts flyrock at the collar zone, and ships under aerosol DG rules. Single-operator deploy in ~30 seconds. Two-speed actuator for slow or fast inflation. Sizes 4.5" to 12.25" (114 – 311 mm). The most-used aerosol gas bag worldwide.

BLASTBAG™ EVO

Pick BLASTBAG™ EVO when you want a collar air deck without the SKU sprawl. Two sizes — Hawk (4"–6") and Eagle (6"–9⅞") — cover most surface holes. Aerosol with a pressure sleeve that controls inflation speed. Same collar-zone benefits as SOLO, fewer decisions on the bench.

BLASTBAG™ AERO

Pick BLASTBAG™ AERO when you're underground with service air on the level. Compressed-air operated, dual-bladder, snap-on AB-C coupling for fast install. Works in any direction — caps upholes, plugs downholes, holds collars. Sizes 2.5" to 12.25" (64 – 311 mm). Non-DG. Best-seller for underground collar work.

BLASTBAG™ ACE II

Pick BLASTBAG™ ACE II when aerosol storage rules are tight or you're running metal-detector conveyors that throw false trips. Chemical-reaction inflation — no aerosol, no metallic components, non-DG. Same collar air-deck performance as SOLO and EVO. Sizes 3" through 10⅝" (76 – 270 mm).

BLASTBALL™

Pick BLASTBALL™ when the collar zone is wet, cracked, or has breakthroughs. The only inflatable on this page rated for deployment through water. Hermetic bladder with tire-strength nylon webbing handles -58°F to 185°F. Lower it through water on a drop line, inflate with compressed air, and the collar is sealed. Sizes 2.5" to 8" (64 – 203 mm).

SLUMPSTOPPA™

Pick SLUMPSTOPPA™ when you're loading emulsion into underground upholes and the column wants to slump back down toward the collar before gassing completes. Polymer bristles hold the column where it belongs while letting emulsion gas through normally. Three sizes: 2.5"–3", 3"–4", 4"–4.5" (64 – 115 mm). The dedicated emulsion-slump solution for underground upholes.
