How It Works
Non-Flammable, Non-Toxic Aerosol
Pressure Sleeve Grip Control
Pre-Attached 32 ft String
Single Gas-Tight Bladder
About 30 Seconds Per Hole
Works in Any Conditions
Open Pit and Quarry Benches
Designed for the hole sizes most production shots use. Handles daily bench work and pre-splits without issue.
Mixed Hole Sizes
Two SKUs cover the range most crews need. Less inventory. Less guessing on the bench.
Fast, One-Person Deployment
Pre-attached string. Depress the actuator, lower the bag in, let the sleeve control the grip. About 30 seconds per hole.
Dry and Damp Holes
Single gas-tight bladder seals against the wall. Works across typical bench conditions.

General Specifications
Which Size Do I Need?
Pick the bag that matches your blast hole diameter. Most sites only need one or the other, but crews that rotate between smaller and larger holes carry both.
- HAWK (03-599): blast holes from 4" to 6". Good fit for trim shots, pre-splits, and smaller production holes.
- EAGLE (03-598): blast holes from 6" to 9 7/8". The common production hole size on most open-pit benches.
If you shoot holes larger than 9 7/8" regularly, contact our team — we'll point you to the right product for your pattern.
How to Install
Step-by-Step Installation
Pick the Right Size
Match the bag to your blast hole diameter. Hawk covers 4" to 6". Eagle covers 6" to 9 7/8". If the hole is on the edge between the two, go with the larger bag for a tighter seal.
Set the Pressure Sleeve
Leave the sleeve fully on for a slower, more controlled grip. Pull it halfway for faster inflation. Pick whichever gives you the timing you want for this shot.
Depress the Actuator
Press the actuator fully. The non-flammable aerosol starts inflating the bag right away.
Lower to Depth
Use the pre-attached 32 ft string to lower the bag to your marked depth. Keep the string taut so the bag travels straight down the hole.
Let It Grip the Wall
Once the bag reaches designed depth, stop lowering. Let the bag reach full pressure against the hole. It only takes a few more seconds.
Load, Stem, Shoot
Tie off the string at the collar or drop it in. Wait about 20 minutes to load your explosive column and stem as usual.
Pro Tips
- Store the box below 122°F and keep it out of direct sunlight.
- Keep the bag in its packaging until you're ready to deploy it.
- If the hole size is right at 6", either Hawk or Eagle will work — go with Eagle if the wall is a bit irregular.
- In cold weather, let the box warm up inside the pickup before use for the most consistent deployment.
Storage & Safety
Keep It Cool
Do not store above 122°F (50°C). Heat above that can damage the aerosol system.
Out of Direct Sunlight
Keep boxes in a covered, shaded area. Prolonged exposure to the sun can raise internal temperature past the safe range.
In the Box Until Use
Leave the bags in their original packaging until the crew is ready to deploy. The box protects the actuator from accidental triggering.
Ventilated Storage
Store in a well-ventilated space that meets your site's dangerous goods handling rules.
Class 9 Dangerous Goods
Classified as Dangerous Goods in Apparatus under UN GHS. Store and transport per your local DG regulations.
